The institutional yong tau fu stall in Madras Lane
The out-of-this-world linguine carbonara I was salivating over a few hours later at Carmen's. Thanks for the tip, Samantha Fong!

an inspiring article. i've always wanted to take the leap and quit my 9-5 job. but it's easier said than done. keep writing...i like your column...:)
Thanks for the kind words, Keef. It isn't always sunshine and rainbows either. Many times, it's reminders like yours - that the little observations and life lessons I've picked up along the way might be of use to somebody else - that sustains my belief that I did the right thing taking that leap. Having a strong belief and support system has pulled me out of many tight spots :)
After introducing you the carbonara at carmens, Im salivating myself now!
For the yummy Madras Lane's chee cheong fun , you should try the one with black soya sauce as well .This is the classical cantonese style Chee Cheong Fun .
